NASCAR, and stock automobile racing in general, has its roots in prohibition-era the moonshine runners who began competing against one another for pride. This was especially noticeable in North Carolina. Bill France Sr. established races in Daytona Beach in 1935, hoping that people would come to watch the races and that drivers would race for him, as other organizers tended to fleece the winners of their payouts. The series was an instant hit and it debuted in 1948. TheĀ series includes :the Cup Series at the top, the Xfinity Series second, and the Truck Series third, with smaller series spread out below. Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota are competitors.
American drivers make up the great majority of NASCAR’s drivers, although competitors have also come from Canada, Mexico, Europe, and other countries. All of the Cup Series events take place in America. Together with the mid-season All-Star race and the summertime Clash, a season consists of 36 points-paying races. Road courses, street circuits, and ovals such as superspeedways, short tracks, and dirt tracks are the main venues for NASCAR races.
